Foodie Alert! New Restaurants On The Way!

We’ve searched high and low for the latest on new and upcoming restaurants across the Tri-Valley! Check out what’s opening soon, plus a few hidden gems that are already here. Got a hot tip? Send it our way: [email protected].
San Ramon
Alora, City Center Bishop Ranch: Highly anticipated Mediterranean seafood restaurant coming soon! Their SF location is delicious and we can’t wait for this location to open.
Palmetto Superfoods, City Center Bishop Ranch: Healthy fare like açaà bowls and smoothies. Opening soon.
ZENTRL Kitchen & Bar, City Center Bishop Ranch: A fusion of California-Asian and Mexican flavors with menu highlights like Baja Shrimp Bao Buns. Open Now!
Dublin
Mendocino Farms, 5130 Dublin Blvd: An elevated sandwich spot with a varied, healthy menu. Open date TBD.
Tequila Bar & Grill, 4920 Dublin Blvd Suite 260: A popular San Leandro favorite, now open at Hacienda Crossings.
Dish N Dash, 4808 Dublin Blvd: Casual Middle Eastern eats. Opening soon!
El Dorado Modern Mexican & Cantina, 4814 Dublin Blvd: Upscale Mexican cuisine and craft cocktails. Opening soon.
Pleasanton
Mantra India Rooftop Restaurant & Bar, 725 Main st. Looks like a great location in downtown Pleasanton for this upscale Indian restaurant. Open Date: TBD.
Cook’s Seafood, 6654 Koll Center Pkwy. Don’t get your hopes up just yet, because their sign has been up for nearly 8 years and it’s been a long-running joke on Pleasanton Rants & Raves. BUT, the restaurant was awarded a new permit from the city to complete construction and they already have a hugely popular Menlo Park location. Open Date: Your guess is as good as ours.
Livermore
Stampede, 1790 First St. Taking over the space that once was Buffalo Wild Wings, Stampede will be a country-western themed bar & grill with hearty food, extensive drink menu, and all sorts of entertainment such as live music, DJs, comedy, bingo, trivia nights and more. Open Date: TBD.
DareDevil Dogs, 66 S. Livermore Ave. With a booming San Ramon location, they’re bringing their gourmet dogs, sandos, and craft beer to downtown Livermore. Open Date: TBD.
The Breakfast Club at Midtown, 1960 First St. Breakfast Nachos and Chocolate Chip Pancakes? Yes, please. Open Date: TBD.
Danville
Canyon Club Brewery, 204 Sycamore Valley Road. Gastro pub eats, an extensive beer list, and a great outdoor space. Open Now!

Where to Find Sewing & Fabric Supplies when Joann’s Closes?

Joann, the beloved fabric and craft store, is preparing to shutter more than half of its U.S. locations—including its Dublin store. The company announced plans to close approximately 500 of its 850 stores across the country. This news follows Joann’s second bankruptcy filing in January 2025, just months after its initial filing and move to private ownership in March 2024.
Looking for alternatives? We recommend taking advantage of Joann’s going-out-of-business sale to stock up on supplies. For future crafting needs, check the following:
In between Stitches in Downtown Livermore: Full service quilting and sewing store that also offers classes.
Dublin Sewing Center has been in business since 1980 and has an extensive selection of sewing and quilting supplies, sewing machines and classes.
WAWAK, an online retailer known for its extensive selection and inventory. While it doesn’t quite replace an in-person shopping experience, it’s a great backup option for your sewing and crafting needs.
